I went to Edinburgh for five days with my good friend and travel buddy Hanna. Such a lovely city.
Edinburgh is such a beautiful and lovely city. We were there for five days, which gave us plenty of time to discover the city. You can easily go by foot, the city isn’t that big. We were very lucky with the weather. I brought my umbrella, but it was not needed. We had very sunny days, but it was pretty cold though. Good thing I brought my warm coat!
The city is build on a volcano and on the top of it stands the famous royal castle. Around that area is an area called Old Town, which kind off feels like you are walking in the very old days. Very pretty.
On the other side is an area called New Town, which still has a very cosy vibe but is a bit more modern. This is a good place to shop.
I have to say, the best thing about the city is that people are very friendly and there are tea rooms and pubs everywhere, which is very lovely. They love a good treat with their tea, so we did that on a regular basis off course.
If you are looking for more specialty shops and a little more color, you can go to Victoria Street, which lays in Old Town. It’s a very pretty street with fun and beautifull boutiques and there is a lovely tea room also.
So Edinburgh has been lovely. Definitely recommend going there and take a stroll, a scone, a beer, a tea or a whisky. It’s all up to you.
