I went to California in May with my friend Hanna and it was absolutely amazing. Read here my story.
First of all, we were in California before, five years ago, for a much bigger trip. But this year, we wanted to go back, because we loved it so much there. And it was so worth it!
We first started in San Fransisco, where we stayed for three nights. Unfortunately, it was a little colder than we expected. It’s always a little bit chilly there, but this time it was even more colder and also some rain. So that was a bit of a bummer. Anyway, we still liked it there. We went to Fishermann’s Wharf and Pier 39 with the classic cable car and walked all the way up to the Golden Gate Bridge, which is a long walk, let me tell you that. But the view was so worth it. Then we walked back to the hotel, through the city and saw some very pretty houses. The hike was pretty intense, but still fun. Other days we just walked around town and did some shopping.
Yosemite National Park
Then we went to this little town called Groveland, which is very near located to Yosemite National Park. It is honestly the cutest little town. It’s basically one street with some shops and a really fun western Saloon. We stayed in Hotel Charlotte, which was also in western style. So cool!
We were there for Yosemite National Park, which is so so beautiful. Definitely a must see!
Sequoia National Park
After Yosemite, we went to Sequioia National Park, which is located below Yosemite. It’s a nice park, but it’s a lot smaller than Yosemite. They do have these very big trees which you can’t even imagine. And we also saw a bear there! In the wild!
After Sequoia, we went to Santa Barbara, which is a really beautiful city with pretty beaches and a fun shopping and dining area. We mostly just chilled there on the beach and walked around town.
Our final stop was the city of angels, Los Angeles. We stayed at a great hotel, which was very well located near The Grove, Melrose Avenue and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was also close by Santa Monica and Venice. We also walked all the way up to the Hollywood Sign, which was absolutely amazing. LA was really a blast, can’t wait to come back!
